WWDC 2016:  Reactions and Where to Watch Day 2 Sessions

Yesterday we delivered our rapid-fire recap of Apple’s keynote, focusing in on the announcements that mattered most to app developers and publishers. Today, we’ll roundup all the best reactions from day one from around the Web, as well as take a look at what to expect in Day 2.

• Many, many people were excited about the ability to delete Apple’s pre-installed apps, in particular Stocks .
• Apple released their picks for the year’s best-designed apps. Be on the lookout for a more in-depth report on these apps from Apptopia in the coming days.
• Everyone’s in love with the world’s youngest WWDC attendee, nine-year-old Anvitha Vijay.
• It seems that the rumors of Apple developing iMessages for Android were completely unfounded.
• Have we finally reached peak emoji?
• We mentioned some yesterday, but here is the complete list of apps Apple opened to outside developers.
• The App Store now has 2 million apps downloaded over 130 billion times.
• Tech Radar published its picks for the most important that flew under the radar. The most compelling? Apple has won the “smart home.”
